The base is CNC-milled from solid brass, then taken through a real ageing process worked directly into the metal rather than laid over it as a coating. A deep brown-black base tone is applied first, followed by a restrained touch of verdigris, the soft blue-green that brass and bronze develop naturally over years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe finish is left unlacquered and sealed only with a light coat of wax, so the surface continues to settle and develop in service.
