The Ritz is where the story starts. NEOZ created it in 2001 for The Ritz London, a lamp to match the classical grandeur and Art Deco elegance of the room, and it remains the most opulent piece in the collection. Its base is hot-forged from a single ingot of raw brass, CNC-machined and polished to a deep lustre, then lacquered for protection, a substantial, solid-brass column with real presence on the table.

Topped with a handmade parchment or pleated silk shade, it casts a glare-free downlight and a soft, diffused sidelight. Choose the standard N1 engine or the long-running PRO, and, like every NEOZ lamp, keep it for years, since every part is user replaceable.

The Ritz later inspired the slimmer, lighter Victoria. For full classical presence, this is the original.

The Ritz is where this whole family of lamps began. In 2001, NEOZ was commissioned to create a cordless lamp for The Ritz London, a piece to match the classical grandeur and Art Deco elegance of the room without a cord in sight. The result was bold, architectural and unmistakably opulent, and it became a signature of the NEOZ range. Years later it would inspire the slimmer, lighter Victoria, but the Ritz remains the original, and the grandest.

There is nothing slight about the Ritz. Its base is hot-forged from a single ingot of raw brass, CNC-machined and polished to a deep lustre, then lacquered for lasting protection. The result is a substantial, solid column, weighing close to two kilograms, that sits with genuine authority on a table. It is a lamp made to be the quiet centre of a beautifully set room.

Your Ritz Brass is made to move, which is exactly why operators asked us to help them keep it close. The Cordless Lamp Lock secures it to the table itself. A low-profile plate fixes discreetly to the surface, the lamp locks on with a single press, and a dedicated key releases it. No tools, no brackets, and nothing a guest would ever notice.

It lets you place cordless light where you could not before. Outdoor terraces, bar tops and street-facing tables can carry your Ritz Brass with the confidence it will still be there tomorrow. The Cordless Lamp Lock is made from 75% post-consumer recycled polycarbonate.

What is the story behind the Ritz?

NEOZ created the Ritz in 2001 for The Ritz London, designing it to match the classical grandeur and Art Deco elegance of the room. It is the most opulent, substantial lamp in the range, hot-forged from solid brass, and it later inspired the slimmer, lighter Victoria. For full classical presence on the table, the Ritz is the original.

What is the difference between the N1 and PRO Light Engines?

Both engines deliver the same warm, high-CRI light and fit the same Owl body; the difference is runtime and weight. The standard N1 engine gives up to 17.5 hours on high and around 55 hours on low, charges in about 3.5 hours, and weighs 340g. The PRO engine is built for maximum endurance, giving up to 66 hours on high and around 310 hours on low, charging in about 8.5 hours, and weighing 610g. Choose N1 for everyday service and PRO for venues that want the longest possible time between charges.

What kind of light does the Ritz give?

Fitted with a handmade parchment or pleated silk shade, the Ritz casts a glare-free downlight onto the table and a soft, diffused sidelight around it. The effect is warm and classical, designed to flatter a table setting rather than to light a whole room.

What finish and shades are available?

The Ritz has a single, considered finish: a forged brass base, polished to a deep lustre and lacquered for protection. It can be paired with a handmade parchment shade or a pleated silk shade, both of which suit its classical form.

How is the Ritz different from the Victoria?

The Ritz is the original and the grander of the two: a larger, heavier, more architectural solid-brass lamp. The Victoria is its slimmer, lighter modern evolution, designed at a smaller scale for a wider range of settings. Both share the same hot-forged brass craft, but the Ritz makes the bolder statement.

Can the Ritz be used outdoors, and is it serviceable?

The Ritz is rated IP30 and, with its fabric shades, is designed for indoor use rather than exposed outdoor positions. Every major part is user replaceable, including the battery, light source and shade, and NEOZ offers repairs and servicing. It works with all NEOZ charging systems and with the Cordless Lamp Lock when specified with the N1 engine (for lamps whose serial begins with L, for example LA1234).
